The monitor was scary because it makes the cry SO loud - which is what it's supposed to do but in the dead of night in silence it was just quite a shock. It's like you wake in a panic because it's so loud and it makes you jump awake rather than wake up normally.

My sleep at night is completely connected with my daughters' sleep. Although at night we`ve noticed that she gets more upset if I go to her so my husband goes to her although if she wakes up, crying or not, I am aware of it and wake up.

My partner says I have a personality change at 3am when my son is having a bad night! I'm afraid I take it out on him, he is much calmer about it than me, but also finds it hard to stay awake once he gets extremely tired and will just fall asleep. I tend to get stressed rather than sleepy.
